Clinica Sierra Vista Celebrates National Health Center Week

BAKERSFIELD, CA — Join Clinica Sierra Vista as we recognize and participate in National Health Center Week. Celebrate with us the roles Community Health Centers have played in finding innovative ways to provide preventative, and primary care to our communities and patients of underserved populations. National Health Center Week honors front line providers, staff, stakeholders, and our beloved patients, through dedicated focus days to highlight each particular innovative way we are providing high-quality health care, improved health outcomes, and narrowing health disparities.

Monday, 8/8
Healthcare for the Homeless Day

Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program provides targeted funding to meet the needs of those living without stable housing. People without homes endure higher rates of chronic and acute disease, behavioral health conditions, and other needs that make them particularly vulnerable to poor health, disability, and early death. We honor and celebrate the work being done to provide comprehensive health care as a human right with our Healthcare for the Homeless Health Fair. We have partnered with select organizations to help us serve this population with free giveaways, such as hygeine kits, clothes, shoes, and other donations. Free meals will be distributed. Free haircuts will be offered.

Agricultural Worker Health Day

Community Health Centers work to develop effective strategies to increase access to care for migratory and seasonal agricultural workers and their families. Migrant Health Programs and Community Health Centers come together to ensure access to quality primary and preventive care for patients who might otherwise go without care. We honor our Ag Workers at our Cuadrilla's event to share valuable health care information, free lunch, and select giveaways.

Patient Appreciation Day

Clinica Sierra Vista would like to take this opportunity to thank our patients. We are honored that you place your trust in us every day to provide postive outcomes, satisfaction, and the highest quality of care. We will be providing snacks and special treats at select locations.

Stakeholder Appreciation Day

Over half of our Board Members at Clinica Sierra Vista are individuals who are also our patients, they live within the communities we serve, and represent our communities in terms of demographics, race, ethnicity, and gender. This ensures our board represents the needs and voices of the communities we serve. They keep us accountable and abreast of community needs. We recognize and thank them and all of our partners within the community for their continued dedication to our cause.

At Clinica Sierra Vista our staff is dedicated and committed to providing the highest quality care to all patients in need and deserve to be recognized. We appreciate and recognize our staff.

Saturday, 8/13
Children’s Health Day

Clinica Sierra Vista stresses the importance of developing healthy routines to help children get the care they need to stay well and healthy. We help by providing support, information, doctor and dental check-ups as well as providing other resources such as back-to-school fairs and supplies. We are hosting two Back-to-School health fairs.
