Supporting Medically Fragile Children and Their Families
Clinica Sierra Vista offers multidisciplinary care for medically complex children through the High-Risk Pediatric Clinic. This includes close monitoring of their nutrition and growth, while also evaluating and managing any developmental delays. Our team coordinates care with subspecialists, alongside medication management and adherence monitoring. This all happens alongside careful planning for transition from pediatric to adult care when the time comes.
The coordinated nature of the clinic means it is equipped for the treatment of congenital anomalies, which require multidisciplinary care, as well as failure to thrive and nutritional deficiencies. The clinic can also treat chronic medical conditions in children, such as epilepsy and congenital heart disease. The clinic can also contribute to complex care needs for children following discharge from the NICU, as well as feeding and swallowing disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders like cerebral palsy, and genetic disorders that require specialist coordination.
