Isabelo Lucho Bustamante IV, M.D.

Isabelo Lucho Bustamante IV, MD was born and raised in Southern California and is a first-generation Cuban-Filipino American. He completed his residency training in Bakersfield, where he quickly recognized that some of the strongest continuity of care in family medicine occurs through street medicine.

This exposure, along with Clinica Sierra Vista’s emphasis on street medicine within its addiction fellowship, played a significant role in shaping his career path. Since then, Dr. Bustamante’s work in addiction medicine has continually reinforced his belief that, like any chronic illness, substance use disorders require compassion, consistency, and comprehensive care. He is deeply grateful to Clinica Sierra Vista for its commitment to supporting this vital work and the patients it serves.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Bustamante remains actively involved in the community. On weekends, he can often be found providing sideline medical coverage at boxing or MMA events or volunteering at local Special Olympics competitions.
