About Tara
Physician Associate Tara Amini holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology from California State University, Fullerton, a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Loma Linda University, and a Doctorate in Medical Science from Lynchburg University in Virginia, where her doctoral project focused on the effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in obesity management. She is currently completing her Addiction Medicine Fellowship through the TNT-PC Program at the University of California, Irvine. PA Amini specializes in the care of special populations, including sheltered and unsheltered individuals, patients with substance use disorders, and those seeking gender-affirming care, obesity treatment, and chronic pain management. Her practice is grounded in compassion, evidence-based medicine, and cultural sensitivity. Fluent in English, Farsi, Turkish, and German, Dr. Amini is deeply committed to building trust and understanding with her diverse patient community. Outside of medicine, she is an avid animal lover who enjoys spending time with her two cats and her dog.
