Clinica Sierra Vista and community leaders broke ground today on our Family Health Center renovation project at 1611 1st Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304.
Since it's opening in 2012, the Family Health Center has seen tens of thousands of patients, illustrating the strong and growing demand for health care services in our community. As we are committed to improving access to health care, we are grateful for this opportunity to expand our services to include primary care, behavioral health, dental, WIC, PACC, insurance enrollment counselors, and Enhanced Care Management services in the newly renovated health center.
"We are excited to celebrate this groundbreaking and look forward to opening our doors to the patients and families we are privileged to serve.” said Dr. Olga Meave, Interim CEO. “We are grateful to be a part of the Kern County community.”
This renovated 10,000 square foot facility will incorporate 10 family medicine exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 3 walk-in exam rooms, 4 behavioral health consultation rooms, 1 WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) office, and 5 dedicated dental exam rooms. All these services will be supported by a centralized reception desk and a central laboratory.
At Clinica Sierra Vista, we have reimagining the health care experience based on extensive patient research. We have committed $5.3 million to this renovation to execute an enhanced patient experience, streamlined services, and to address future growth. All elements of this facility have the capacity to grow, using an efficient, cost-effective design model with a welcoming, modern, fresh design.
"These projects have a big economic impact, bringing in more high-paying medical positions to the Bakersfield area." said Oscar Fletes, Chief Operations Officer. "Our area has experienced high growth with increased demand for access to health care."
We appreciate all the hard work of everyone who helped renovate this new clinic and bring it to a new life. Construction is expected to be completed by December of 2022.
