Edwin E. Cabahug, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-C, AAHIVS, is a highly accomplished healthcare provider with dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health. With more than 23 years of diverse nursing experience across the Philippines, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with over a decade of experience as a Provider, Edwin brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to culturally competent, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

Originally from the Philippines, Edwin Cabahug began his healthcare journey after earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992. His passion for advancing patient care and improving healthcare outcomes led him to pursue advanced practice nursing in the United States. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Medicine from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in 2016, where he was recognized for his academic excellence, leadership potential, and dedication to underserved communities.

Committed to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice, Edwin Cabahug completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Charles R. Drew University in 2023. His doctoral training strengthened his expertise in clinical leadership, quality improvement, and holistic patient care.

Recognizing the increasing need for integrated behavioral health services, Edwin pursued post-graduate training in Psychiatric Mental Health at National University. He became board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-C) in 2025, expanding his ability to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental health treatment, medication management, and supportive care for patients across the lifespan.

Driven by his dedication to serving vulnerable populations, Edwin also expanded his expertise in HIV care in response to the growing healthcare needs within the community. He successfully completed the HIV certification examination and earned the credential of HIV Specialist (AAHIVS), further strengthening his commitment to providing inclusive, evidence-based care for individuals living with HIV.

Currently, Edwin serves as a Walk-In Clinic Provider and HIV Specialist at Clinica Sierra Vista, where he has provided high-quality, timely, and compassionate care to underserved and multicultural communities for nearly six years. In addition, he has served for more than a decade at Kern Medical as a Family Nurse Practitioner, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve outcomes for patients with complex medical and psychosocial conditions.
Known for his compassionate approach, strong clinical judgment, and dedication to healthcare equity, Edwin remains passionate about improving access to comprehensive primary care, mental health services, and HIV treatment for diverse patient populations.
