About Jorge

Dr. Jorge L. Lopez-Aguado’s extensive career in pediatrics is defined by a deep-seated commitment to serving children where medical care is needed most. Born in Texas and raised in Fresno, California, Dr. Lopez-Aguado is a proud product of the Central Valley, graduating from Fresno High School and California State University, Fresno, before pursuing his medical degree.

Dr. Lopez-Aguado began his medical career with a strong focus on community health and public service. He worked as a substitute physician for two years before partnering with the Sequoia Health Foundation in Fresno. He then stepped into a leadership role as the Associate Director of the Charlie Mitchell Complex Pediatric Clinic at Valley Children’s Hospital (VCH), managing specialized care for children with complex medical needs. During this impactful period, he dedicated his personal time to volunteering at a local free clinic serving the Hmong population and provided vital pediatric services for both the Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno County Office of Education.

Seeking a different clinical environment, Dr. Lopez-Aguado later entered private practice in the mountain community of Oakhurst, located just outside Yosemite National Park. For ten years, he provided dedicated care to local children, the families of national forest rangers, and even international children visiting the park.

Driven by a desire to return to his roots and serve agricultural communities, Dr. Lopez-Aguado made the decision to join Dr. Gehlawat’s established pediatric practice in Delano, California. He is incredibly proud to return to the valley to care for the children of migrant farmworkersβ€”a community where he feels his experience, bilingual skills, and passion can make the greatest difference.
