Dr. Meave previously served as Interim CEO and Chief Medical Officer
November 3, 2022 – The Clinica Sierra Vista Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Olga Meave as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) permanently. Dr. Meave assumes the role of CEO immediately, serving as Clinica Sierra Vista’s fourth CEO in the non-profit’s 51-year history.
Dr. Meave joined Clinica Sierra Vista as a physician-in-training in 2015 and went on to serve as Associate Medical Director in 2018. In 2020, Dr. Meave was appointed Chief Medical Officer to oversee the organization’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was named Interim CEO in April 2022.
“The Board’s decision to appoint Dr. Meave as the permanent CEO was based on her passion for providing quality and accessible healthcare to the underserved populations of Kern and Fresno counties,” said Clinica Sierra Vista Board President Kris DeLano. “We are confident in our choice and look forward to supporting Dr. Meave in her efforts to fulfill our mission.”

Dr. Meave earned her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara U.A.G., before doing her U.S. residency with the UCLA-affiliated Rio Bravo Fm Residency Program. In 2021, Dr. Meave did a fellowship with the UC Davis Center for Advancing Pain Relief and attended the UCLA Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Dr. Meave holds positions in honorary and professional societies, including the American Academy of Family Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine, Kern County Medical Society, California Medical Association, UCLA IMG Alumni, and Honor Society of New York.
