How to Apply for WIC

Getting started with WIC is easier than you might think. Whether you’re pregnant, just had a baby, or caring for a child under age 5, Clinica Sierra Vista’s WIC program is here to help you make healthy living simple—and it all starts with one easy step.
How to Apply for WIC

Applying Is Simple

You can apply for WIC in the way that works best for you:

  • Online: Fill out a short request form at wic.clinicasierravista.org, and a WIC team member will call you to follow up.
  • By phone: Call (661) 862-5422 to talk directly with our staff.
  • In person: Walk into any WIC office—no appointment needed.

Once you’re enrolled, your WIC benefits will be loaded onto your California WIC Card that same day—so you can start shopping for healthy foods right away.

What to Expect

Our WIC team is friendly, welcoming, and ready to guide you through every step. You’ll get help understanding your benefits, tips for using your WIC card, and answers to any questions about feeding your family.

We offer support in English and Spanish, and appointments can often be done in person or by phone—whatever makes things easiest for you.

A Small Step, A Big Difference

Applying for WIC is one small step that can make a big difference for your family’s health. You’ll gain access to healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and a caring community that’s here to walk with you—not ahead of you.

Healthy doesn’t have to be hard—with WIC, it’s easier than you think.

Do I Qualify for WIC?

WIC is a program that helps families with food and nutrition. Call us at (661) 862-5422 or send a message, and we’ll help you see if you qualify.

Here are some ways you might qualify:

  • You are pregnant
  • You are breastfeeding a baby who is less than one year old
  • You had a baby in the last six months
  • You have a child who is under the age of five
  • You experienced a loss of pregnancy or had a termination

You also need to think about your family’s income. Here are the monthly income limits for family sizes:

  • 1 Person: $2,413
  • 2 Persons: $3,261
  • 3 Persons: $4,109
  • 4 Persons: $4,957
  • 5 Persons: $5,805
  • More than 5 Persons: Add $848 for each additional member

This income limit is based on 185% of the Federal Poverty Level, and these amounts will be effective from April 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Also, if you’re pregnant, the baby counts as part of your family size when figuring out if you qualify.
