Jasonβs journey into healthcare leadership began early through volunteer service in skilled nursing facilities, experiences that shaped his lifelong commitment to dignity-centered elder care. His career has included collaborative work supporting unhoused patients discharged from hospitals, leadership in launching Hope Respite Care in Merced County, and establishing Central Valley PACE serving Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin counties. Dr. Ferishta Gousse is a board-certified family physician and Executive Medical Director for Clinica Sierra Vistaβs Fresno region. Born in Afghanistan and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Gousse knew from a young age that she wanted to become a physician. She earned her medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science CenterβSt. Francis Family Medicine.
Today, Dr. Gousse provides care at North Fine Community Health Center while helping lead CSVβs clinical services throughout Fresno. She finds great fulfillment in caring for patients and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to improve the experience of both patients and providers. Her medical interests include chronic disease management, obesity medicine, health promotion, and wellness.
Dr. Gousse has been recognized by Clinica Sierra Vista for her contributions to patient care, clinical leadership, and medical education, receiving the Outstanding Primary Care Physician Award, Clinical Leadership and Service Award, and Pioneer in Medical Education Award. She is fluent in English and Farsi and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the California Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Anna Cheriyan is a Board-certified Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician at Clinica Sierra Vista.
Originally from India, Dr. Cheriyan was inspired to pursue medicine by witnessing the positive impact physicians had on peopleβs lives. Caring for close loved ones who were ill deepened her appreciation for the healing power of medicine and strengthened her desire to serve others.
Dr. Cheriyan earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where she developed a strong commitment to serving underserved communities.
